![]() ![]() I'm still on 11.26, and I only installed X-Plane for the first time a couple of months ago. I am definitely enjoying this latest version!! Trains? Real trains of various types on railroad s that look like homes and not blurry boxes. Elevated highways where traffic is actually on them and not driving right through an on ramp and remaining on the lower level. I was amazed at the highway setup, overhead signs on major freeways, highway lights, traffic that doesn't just stop suddenly and then pick up somewhere else. I'm all about eye-candy and there's a lot of that to enjoy. ![]() It's taking a bit of time to get acclimated to the differences as far as programming my joystick and CH Throttle, but I have the basics working and the rest will follow I'm sure. I have to say, I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. ![]() I just received X-Plane11 as a gift from some nice folks I did some scenery for. Last month saw the submission of an outstanding Detroit Metro Wayne County (KDTW) airport by artist Pconlan. This month brought six amazing new add ons for us to feature! We have three scenery packs, two aircraft, and hardware to use with X-Plane. The new joystick curves allow you to set custom curves on anyaxis type, and the larger text options make text easier to read on high resolution monitors. X-Plane 11.30 includes two new UI features: joystick curves and large text. The tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, is located here. This update includes a new set of landmarks for the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The default aircraft have all been updated so you'll see new effects with contrails, heat blur, and wing tip trails. New and more powerful particle effects are included in this update! It creates creates smoke, fire, mist and other ephemeral effects in the sim. Check out the article for before & after comparisons! X-Plane 11.30 includes new auto-generated scenery for high rise buildings, industrial buildings, and street level clutter in the United States. We have four more of the 11.30 improvements to show you this month. Hi again Steve just to let you know i have now lost TG at EGLC and EGPH i have not touched anything beggining to feel a bit miffed with Orbx as i have spent a small fortune with them there is obviously a problem that needs addressing i wonder i you know what strings to pull cheers John. We're still in full bug-squashing mode for X-Plane 11.30. In any case, Traffic Global is generating AI at the outstanding Orbx EGNM Leeds - hopefully that helps sure why it works for yours and not mine as I did a clean install with no backups but mysteries abound in these sims of ours, perhaps the user and I both have a different version of Traffic Global or something - but this seemed to work OK (I'm going to take a peek at my EGNX to see why IT'S not generating traffic for me either) The good news is that I was indeed finally able to get Traffic Global to generate AI traffic for my installation by opening the "non-static" version of the apt.dat and changing each of the various gate attributes from "Tie Downs" (which sounds like Cessnas etc.) to "Gates" THEN select which type of aircraft I wanted via the click boxes (Heavy Jet, Jet, Turboprop and UNCHECK the "props") THEN for good measure change the type of "Ramp Operation" at the bottom to "Airline" - export the apt.dat file back into where I found it overwriting it and boom, problem solved! No idea which of these steps are the most critical, but it also appears that if some knowledgeable user knows which gates are used by which airlines you can put those IATA codes for them by the gates and they'd even park in the correct spots which would be swell. If not then i have no ideas as I said, I have plenty of traffic. I also attach my Ground Traffic txt file. I have No Static Planes ticked in the configuration option and attach therefore the apt for the Earth nav data folder, not the Eath nav data STATICS folder. I attach my apt for you gents to see if that helps as I have demonstrated that I have plenty of Traffic global planes at EGNM. If I try a freeware version of the airport Traffic Global does indeed generate aircraft for me.īut the Orbx version looks incredible - certainly there is a fix.stand by. ![]() I shall mess with this apt.dat file a bit (there are actually 2 of them, one for "with statics" and one for without - I'm not an expert in using "WED" but there may be something amiss with the taxi routes or parking spaces Traffic Global doesn't like. TGXP: Totally unable to read airport file P:\X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\Orbx_A_EGNM_LeedsBradford\Earth nav data\apt.dat Hmmm.I can also confirm no Traffic Global traffic to speak of at all, and I get this error in my log. ![]()
